PATRIOTISM
Patriotism is such a dangerous thing
Promotes the things we stand against
Destroys the love that we sing
Sealing up the people's barred fence.
The leaders of the world use it as a ploy
Pollutes the brains of the people
Using us as their toy
From the national flag to the church steeple.
Nationalism is a dirty world
We are all citizens of the planet Earth
Sometimes our songs of sharing ain't told
But still we fight against the national interest curse.
Tradition remains in high ranks today
Meaningless principle and pomp to suffer
People's boredom and misery turns into their play
The fatal blow to the natural lover.
With the courage and strength we all can find
A hope still shines in people's hearts
Against the leaders' egos and the brainwashed minds
Here is where our world starts.
