USA National Security Strategy |
In an address supporting the nation state, President Bush announces;
The National Security Strategy of the United States of America
The introduction promotes "freedom" and "human rights" as worthy goals towards democratic
ideals, and promises to "defend the peace by fighting terrorists and tyrants."
Notable exceptions from the plan are Trans National Companies (TNC`s). A democracy has shareholders by default
through compulsory sovereignty of course, while a TNC can have a shareholder of one and be self satisfying in its
outlook and objectives. The ability of a TNC to cross national boundaries, move significant resources worldwide,
and deal in any commodity it so chooses from weapons to weedkiller deems it a potential threat to the state too.
e.g Oil Pipeline Consortium Threatens Turkey
A Public Limited Company (PLC) can prove to be an asset to the community it serves or indeed a threat The capacity
of a "transparent" public limited company and their ability to undermine and rule across national boundaries,
with unlimited resources is an area unfettered by the National Security Strategy. It is this weakness which threatens
further global peace along with "illegal terrorism" in the post National Security Strategy years.
